Living in Austin, one of the fittest cities in America, there are hundreds of races put on every year (running, biking, swimming). There seems to be an organized race every day, and the only problem is, deciding which ones to take part in (if that is your hobby). We carefully choose which ones to sign up for as they all go to great causes. Jason participated in "Run with the Heroes" which allowed all the participants to run at the same time with troops in Iraq. The Army soldiers were on a large screen via satellite. The kids and I were able to watch Jason and the soldiers run at the same time. It was a great way for the kids to see the faces of the men/women who are fighting everyday for our country and it brought a smile to the faces of those heroes to see that we are at home supporting them.
