Faith has been in Girl Scouts for over a year now. Her Troop consists of 14 girls, all the same age. The Girl Scouts facilitate in building self-esteem and teaching values such as honesty, fairness, courage, compassion, and confidence. Faith's Troop does alot of hands-on activities and community service volunteering. Faith went to the Police Station stables and met with the officers and their horses. The Police Officers taught them the importance of safety and how they keep us safe. Afterwards, the girls were able to ride the horses. At another Troop meeting this summer, the girls learned how to fold an American Flag. One of the Dad's is a Marine, so he came in and taught the girls the history of the Flag, what it stands for, and how we respect it.
