A great way to end the summer is a vacation with friends at the beach. This is the 2nd annual Port Aransas end of summer beach trip. We go with two other families, the Pratt's and the Brown's, who are dear friends of ours. We met through the kid's activities. Blaze has been playing baseball with their son's Travis and Austin for 3 years. Port Aransas is about 5 hours from Austin. We went for 4 days and had nothing on the agenda, but to sit on the beach, hit the waves, soak in the sun, and relax! One of the nights we did a shrimp boil, which is now one of my favorite meals. It was yummy! The adults were even able to sneak in an evening with no kids because we brought a babysitter with us, who the kids adore. We went to a bar in town with live music (of course this is Texas), and crazy enough Charlie Robison was there on vacation. Being the musician he is, he couldn't sit and watch the band, so he took over and performed about 3 songs, which were awesome. Everyone had a blast!
