Every family has traditions for Christmas Eve and Christmas. Our tradition on Christmas Eve is to bake Santa cookies, make raindeer dust, and let the kids open 1 gift of their choice under the tree. The raindeer dust consists of different colors of glitter. The kids make their own bag from a variety of different colors. Then, they spread it all across the lawn so the raindeer can see our house sparkling from above. The cookies that we bake are placed on the same cookie dishes every year. This year we started to track Santa on the computer. We could see where he was at all times, and when he started making his way to the U.S., the kids knew it was bedtime. They know that Santa will not come if they are awake, and they definately don't want him to skip our house. The kids love doing these things, and look foward to it each and every year.
