Blaze competed in his first BMX competition. Because of the weather, there weren't many participants, so Blaze had to compete in the 12 year old division. Being 3 years younger, and his first race, we thought for sure he would want to wait until next weekend.....but, not Blaze. He didn't really care, and wanted to go for it. We were so proud of him and his decision. There were two races. The first race, he came in last place. He got a little down, but that didn't stop him. There was one more race and he was determined not to come in last. And, he didn't!!!! He came in 2nd to last. He was so proud of himself, and we were so impressed by his determination not to give up. Blaze can't wait to get back on the dirt & race again (and in his words "kids my own age")."More powerful than the will to win, is the courage to begin." - Unknown
