Every year schools test kids on academic progress for State/Federal scoring. In Texas it is called TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge & Skills). They test in math, reading and science. Blaze just completed the "practice" TAKS test in preparation for the "actual" test at the end of the school year. He got 100% on the reading test!!! His school and teacher were so proud of him, and said that he was the only 3rd grader in his class to receive a 100% on the "practice" TAKS test. This is a huge accomplishment due to the fact that this was Blaze's first experience taking a State/Federal standardized test. We couldn't be prouder!
