14 years ago when Jason joined the Coast Guard, he never imaged that years down the road he would be a college student in the civilian life. After 9 years of being active duty, he was medically retired due to neck/shoulder injuries. He had to think about what he wanted to do with his life. Natually, since Jason is so good with kids, and has more patience than anyone I know, education seemed the perfect fit. Any kid would love to have Mr. Jason as their teacher. Jason is in his senior year of college @ Texas State, graduating in December with a degree in Education. He has worked his butt off for the last 3 years, and we couldn't be more proud. Today he (and other graduating students) received their Honors Tassels. Jason will be graduating with a 4.0....Way to go!
